Love Conquers Fear: The Testimony of Stephana Joseph

This is a brief testimony of how Stephana Sandina Joseph received Jesus into her life and the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Stephana received Jesus into her life when she was in 7th grade. It was during a family Bible study held at her parents’ home. Her father Wilson Joseph was teaching on the love of God and how God is not mad at us. After the teaching, her father asked Stephana and her brother if they would like to receive Jesus. Fortunately, they said yes. After receiving Jesus, he also led them to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. That night, Stephana received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues.

Later on, when Stephana was going to go to bed, she decided to speak in tongues before she went to sleep. As she was speaking in tongues, she began to cry, not tears of sadness, but she felt some sort of relief, like a load was lifted off of her. She had a lot of fears all her life: fear of going to sleep, talking to people, and not loving how God created her. She felt all those fears lifted off as she was speaking in tongues. In 1 John 4:18 it says, "...perfect love casts out fear," and that was exactly what she experienced that night. God's love overflowed her in her room.

Because of God's love, she has been able to speak to people, sleep at night without any issues, and love how created her. This is what she desires to do through Love Motivation Ministry: to help everyone know how loved they are by God, and that He desires for them to live a life of faith in Him, not of fear. Getting to know who God is has changed the way she sees herself, others, and the world. At Love Motivation Ministry, she desires to help all believers step into all that God has for them, to encourage and edify them.
