Love Motivation Ministry is a product of a revelation of God's unconditional love for Wilson Joseph Sr. From this revelation came a great vision, where the initiative is to minister God's unconditional love, grace, and faith to make disciples who will be part of God's calling on Wilson's life to plant grace churches. We would like to take you on a journey of discovering where the ministry of Love Motivation came from. While attending a local church in Miami, Florida, Wilson received Jesus, got baptized in water, and began serving as a Sunday School teacher and a youth president. Due to the legalistic teachings in that local church, Wilson did not have a revelation of the truth that came from the Word of God.
Most of all, he did not know the truth about the Holy Spirit, nor His power that he should ask Jesus to baptize him into. He was never taught there, nor did he find out by himself that there was such a thing as being baptized in the Holy Ghost. As he was dependent on those legalistic teachings to know God, he started developing a mindset that God's love for him was conditional. He used to believe that in order for God to love him, he would have to please him by doing something for him. As a result of this mindset, all his days in that local church were about trying to earn God's love through good works and through his own self-righteousness. While living a life as a Christian who wanted to know God but was receiving the wrong teaching, he had a sense that something wasn't right. Somehow, deep down inside, he knew it. But what he felt on the inside of him was not really strong enough to convince him because he was more in tune with what he was learning in the church. The feeling that he felt inside was the Holy Spirit trying to tell him that this was not the way to have a relationship with God. As the Holy Spirit persisted in his conviction, a desire grew in his heart to start seeking God for the truth, which he did.
In a prayer, he asked God to lead him to a good Bible school. He got an answer to his prayer and found Andrew Wommack's teaching TV program on TBN, which led him to Charis Bible College, where he started learning the truth about God's love and grace. He also learned about who he was as a Christian, and how God's love for him was not based on his performance. Then he understood that all his good deeds were not what really pleased God; it was his faith that pleased God, as stated in Hebrews 11:6. Wilson also understood that God's love for him was a gift, just like his grace by which he was saved through Jesus Christ, as stated in Ephesians 2:8. The grace of God produces an overflow of faith and love in Jesus Christ, according to 1 Timothy 1:14. Wilson's salvation was only possible because of God's unconditional love for him, not because of something good that he did. So he thought, why would he continue with the mindset of trying to earn God's love through his good works? There was no use for that any longer because the truth that he came to know had set him free.
The law taught him to depend on his own righteousness to reach out to God, but grace taught him to rest in the finished work of Jesus because God loves him unconditionally. The revelation of God's love for Wilson freed him from the works of the law and became a motivation in his life to trust everything that God has for him in His abundant grace and to love others with God's love within him, which was shed abroad in his heart by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). To make a long story short, when he started hearing God about the need for grace churches, especially in the community he was living in, he started Love Motivation Ministry, trusting God's call to plant a Grace Church starting with his family. This is where the ministry of Love Motivation came from. In Love Motivation Ministry, we focus on making disciples for Jesus Christ through teachings based on God's unconditional love, grace, and faith.
Write The Vision and Make It Plain
Through the profound understanding of divine love, which subsequently inspired the establishment of the Love Motivation Ministry, Pastor Wilson, after enduring years of restrictive religious practices, was moved to create a more welcoming spiritual environment. His past experiences had led him to hesitate in inviting others to church, fearing they might encounter similar legalistic burdens that could obscure the truth of God's love. It was from this realization that he received a divine vision to establish a church founded on grace.
As previously mentioned, his family's initiative led to the creation of 'Church At Home', a Zoom-based church program designed to connect individuals with the vision. Initially, he believed the name 'Church At Home' stemmed from the fact that he began the church within his own home with his family. However, the significance extended beyond that, as it is a name that encapsulates the atmosphere of the grace church gathering, in accordance with God's revelation to him. The concept of the church (believers) came to his mind, and God guided him to the scriptures to explore the meaning of 'home'. He discovered Psalm 90:1, where Moses, in a prayer, recognized God as a dwelling place for His children throughout all generations. Another biblical term for dwelling place is 'home', 'habitation', or 'refuge', all of which signify God's presence.
Church (Believers) + Home (God's Presence) = Believers in the Presence of God.
