What is church at home?

Believers In God’s Presence

Upon discerning a divine directive to depart from a legalistic local church, Wilson and his wife, Edlene, along with their children, initiated praise and worship sessions and Bible study services within their home. This was in direct response to what Wilson perceived as God's calling upon his life to establish a grace-based church. He firmly believed that God intended for him to lay the foundational groundwork of this new church with his family, who would then serve as the initial staff to welcome individuals destined to become part of the launch team.

Consequently, the family dedicated several years to studying the word of God, engaging in prayer, and participating in praise and worship. During this time, guided by divine wisdom and revelations, Wilson, through the power of the Holy Spirit, gracefully transformed his family members into the ministers they were destined to be, enabling them to serve others. Recognizing this profound transformation, he chose to extend their praise, worship, and Bible study to a wider community.

Subsequently, the name "Church At Home" was revealed to him for the praise, worship, and Bible study service. As the service continued to be conducted from home, he and his family began utilizing the Zoom platform to enable others to participate.

The name "Church At Home" appears to be inspired by the concept of a family home service. However, based on further insights received by Wilson, he came to understand that "HOME" extends beyond a mere physical family residence, particularly when considering some of its biblical interpretations. Within the Bible, "HOME" symbolizes more than just a physical edifice; it embodies a sanctuary, a place of tranquility and affiliation, encompassing both the physical dwelling and the family or household residing within it.

To address the question of what "Church At Home" entails, it is essentially a setting where individuals of faith congregate in the name of Jesus, as articulated in Matthew 18:20: "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in their midst."

"Church At Home" serves as a venue for believers to assemble in God's presence, offering a secure, loving, and spiritually enriching environment that mirrors God's intended design for human connections.
