Statement of Faith
1. Scripture.
We believe that Scripture is God-breathed and fully inspired, given by God for teaching, correction, and training in righteousness, equipping believers for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16–17). It is the true and living Word by which we are sustained, for man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4), and through which God Himself speaks with authority (Matthew 22:31).
We believe that through Scripture the righteousness of God is revealed and faith is produced (Romans 1:17), and that what was written in former times was written for our instruction, that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope (Romans 15:4).
We believe that as we receive and speak the Word in faith, we grow in spiritual life and understanding (2 Corinthians 4:13), for it testifies of Christ and the fulfillment of God’s will (Hebrews 10:7). Therefore, we hold that God’s Word is to be diligently received, treasured, and obeyed, for it brings life, health, and direction to all who embrace it (Proverbs 4:20–22).
2. God.
We believe that there is one true and living God, eternally existing in perfect unity as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are one, sharing the same divine nature, essence, and authority, and working together in perfect harmony. Therefore, we confess one God revealed in three persons, worthy of all worship and obedience (1 John 5:7).
3. Jesus Christ.
We believe in the divine nature of the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, who is Himself the wisdom of God and our all-sufficient Savior. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life on earth, and revealed the authority and power of God through His words and works. In love and obedience, He gave Himself as a sacrifice at the cross, shedding His blood for the atonement of our sins, and was raised again on the third day in victory.
We believe that He is now exalted at the right hand of God, having fully accomplished all that is necessary for humanity’s salvation. Through Him alone we receive righteousness, sanctification, and redemption; therefore, our confidence and boasting are not in ourselves, but in the Lord.
We reject any claim that Jesus Christ is merely one of many ways to God. Instead, we affirm that He is the only way to the Father and the complete source of our salvation, embodying all that we need for new life, transformation, and eternal glory (1 Corinthians 1:30–31).
4. Salvation.
We believe that salvation is the gift of God made available to all through Jesus Christ, calling for repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 20:20–21). It is received by confessing with the mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in the heart that God raised Him from the dead, for whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:9–13). We believe that salvation involves being born again by the Spirit of God, a spiritual transformation that brings new life (John 3:5–6). Upon believing the gospel, we are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who guarantees our inheritance in Christ (Ephesians 1:13).
5. Holy Spirit.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Godhead, fully divine and co-equal with the Father and the Son, revealed in the name into which believers are baptized (Matthew 28:19). He is God Himself, not merely an influence, as seen in the witness of Scripture (Acts 5:3–4), and He speaks with divine authority (Acts 28:25–26).
We believe that the Holy Spirit is actively at work in the Church, distributing a diversity of spiritual gifts while remaining one in essence and purpose with the Father and the Son (1 Corinthians 12:4–6). He is the source of grace, fellowship, and communion within the body of Christ (2 Corinthians 13:14).
We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers believers to be witnesses for Christ (Acts 1:8), and that He is given to those who believe, often accompanied by the infilling and outward manifestation of His presence (Acts 2:4; 9:17; 10:44–46; 11:15–16; 19:6). He is received by faith, not by works (Galatians 3:2), and His presence in the believer brings power, transformation, and spiritual life.
We believe that the Holy Spirit manifests Himself through various gifts for the profit of all, equipping and edifying the Church according to His will (1 Corinthians 12:7). Therefore, we affirm His ongoing work in guiding, empowering, and sustaining believers in their walk with God.
6. The Second Advent of Christ & the Resurrection.
We believe in the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will return from heaven as promised, just as He ascended (Acts 1:11). He will be revealed in power and great glory, and every eye will see Him (Matthew 24:30; Revelation 1:7), as we eagerly await His return from heaven (1 Thessalonians 1:10).
We believe that at His coming, the Lord Himself will descend with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then those who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17).
We believe in the resurrection of the dead, both of the righteous and the unrighteous, and in the transformation of believers into glorified bodies, according to the power and promise of God (1 Corinthians 15). There will be a final judgment in which eternal destinies are determined: everlasting life for the righteous and eternal punishment for the wicked (Matthew 25:46).
We affirm that God is just and righteous in all His judgments, reserving both fallen angels and the ungodly for judgment while delivering the godly (2 Peter 2:4–9), and that there is a holy fear of God who has authority over eternal destiny (Luke 12:5). Therefore, we live with expectation, reverence, and readiness for the return of our Lord and the fulfillment of all things.
7. The Church.
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, over which He is the head, and is the fullness of Him who fills all in all (Ephesians 1:22–23). It consists of all who are united to Christ by faith and are called to live under His lordship and for His glory.
We believe that the Church is commissioned to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to observe all that Christ has commanded, carrying out His mission with His authority and presence (Matthew 28:16–20).
We believe in the importance of gathering together as believers for worship, encouragement, and spiritual growth, and we are instructed not to neglect meeting together, but to exhort one another all the more as we see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:25). Therefore, we affirm the Church as God’s appointed community for fellowship, discipleship, and the advancement of His kingdom on the earth.
8. Healing.
We believe that divine healing is provided through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. He bore our sicknesses and carried our sorrows, fulfilling what was spoken by the prophet, and took upon Himself the full weight of our infirmities (Matthew 8:16–17; Isaiah 53:4).
We believe that through His sacrifice on the cross, where He bore our sins in His own body, provision was made not only for our forgiveness but also for our healing, for by His stripes we are healed (1 Peter 2:24).
Therefore, we affirm that healing is included in the atonement of Christ and is available to believers through faith in Him, as a demonstration of God’s love, power, and restoring grace.
9. Marriage, Gender Identity, and Sexual Relations.
We believe that God created humanity in His image, distinctly male and female, according to His divine design and purpose (Genesis 1:26–27). We affirm that gender is a gift from God, rooted in His creation, and is not subject to human redefinition.
We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant established by God, joining one man and one woman as one flesh, intended for lifelong union, companionship, and the foundation of the family (Genesis 2:24). Within this covenant, sexual intimacy is a holy and honorable gift from God, to be kept pure (Hebrews 13:4).
We believe that all sexual relationships outside of this biblical design—including adultery, fornication, and other forms of sexual immorality—are contrary to God’s will and revealed standards (Genesis 19:5; 26:8–11; Leviticus 18:1–30; Romans 1:26–29; 1 Corinthians 5:1; 6:9).
We affirm that God calls His people to live in holiness, abstaining from sexual immorality and walking in purity and honor, as those set apart for Him (1 Thessalonians 4:1–8). While all have sinned, we believe in the transforming power of God’s grace to redeem, restore, and sanctify those who turn to Him in faith and obedience.
Therefore, we uphold God’s design for marriage, gender, and sexual relationships as revealed in Scripture, affirming both His truth and His grace as the standard for holy living.
10. Sanctity of Life.
We believe that all human life is sacred, created by God in His image and known by Him even before birth (Psalm 139:14–16; Jeremiah 1:5). Every person is fearfully and wonderfully made, a unique creation of God, and life is a gift entrusted to us from the Lord (Psalm 127:3; Psalm 71:6; Psalm 39:4).
We believe that God’s providence sustains every life, from conception to natural death, and that He ordains the days and seasons of each person’s existence (Job 14:5–7). We affirm that life is a divine gift, meant to be cherished, protected, and nurtured within the family and community (Luke 1:44; 1 Corinthians 11:12).
Therefore, we uphold the sanctity of human life, rejecting any act that destroys or devalues it, and we commit to honoring God’s gift of life, living in a manner that glorifies Him and reflects His grace and purpose for every person (Galatians 1:5).
