Biblical Principles for Emotional Victory

  • Note: The Lexico‍  ‍definition of emotion is "A strong  feeling‍  ‍deriving from one's circumstances, mood, or relationships with others." Emotions are responses to significant internal and external events.

  • Emotions, as depicted in the Bible, are a vital aspect of human nature, reflecting the image of God. They are to be expressed and managed in ways that align with biblical principles, fostering a deeper relationship with God and others.

Discipleship Practical Questions & Answers

Short Summary

God created emotions as a good and valuable part of human life. Because we are made in His image, we are able to love, rejoice, and experience peace. However, God calls us to control our emotions rather than be controlled by them. Through faith in Christ, obedience to God's Word, and the power of the Holy Spirit, believers can experience emotional stability, serve God with joy, and enjoy the abundant life He intended.
